Tanjung Bira is located 200 km from Makassar, South Sulawesi or about 41 km to the east of Bulukumba city, precisely in Bonto Bahari District. Tanjung Bira can be reached in approximately 5 – 6 hours by road from Makassar (± 200 km).
As a person who was born and raised in a city without a beach. Beach tourism is an interesting thing for me. Tanjung Bira Beach, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi is probably the most beautiful beach I've ever visited, with beautiful white sand and clear water.

In 2012, Tanjung Bira has not been widely exposed as a tourist spot. But now Tanjung Bira has become one of the prima donna of marine tourism in Eastern Indonesia. In addition, diving equipment, restaurants, comfortable and clean bathrooms, and motorbike rentals are widely available. Like the beach area in general, Tanjung Bira is also equipped with restaurant facilities and various types of lodging. Typical dishes on the beach are grilled fish or fish soup such as Sunu fish (grouper) or Bolu fish (milkfish).
